Understanding The Circuit Breaker Box

The circuit breaker box is the central point where the electricity enters the home. Typically, there is a watt-hour meter situated next to the circuit breaker box that determines the amount of electricity used in your home. The circuit breaker box is designed to distribute electrical currents throughout the home.

The breakers within the box connect to different circuit points within the home routing electricity to each room separately to prevent a power overload. Understanding The Wiring System
